Ball pictures from this week

We have sure been able to tell that this week has been a full moon! The kids have been WILD at both games this week! It's been hard to do anything with them.

We had one little boy roll from 2nd base to 3rd base and it wasn't Blaine!!
I just love this picture of Neely. I think the silly banz on her wrists just make it!

Blaine took this picture of Brewer. I edited the color, but didn't crop it or anything. He is getting pretty good with the camera!

Ryleigh is a good little ball player!

Blaine has had a rough week. He's been sick and coughing literly every breath. I've felt so sorry for him. He stayed home Wednesday, and was feeling better, so he went back to school yesterday. From what I hear, he coughed nonstop all day long. Even with cough medicine and cough drops. After school his throat was hurting and he felt terrible, so we took him to the doctor and got a shot, steroid, and an antibiotic. Charlie said that he has a touch of strep and the crud. The shot had him wired!! He was bouncing off the walls!

Neal is keeping both Blaine and Judd today. I think they've about run him crazy. Atleast Blaine is feeling better. Both of them are still coughing (Blaine more than Judd), but I hope they are on the way to recovery!
I hope they are soon well so I can get some sleep. It's almost like we've had a baby in the house. Each night atleast one of them has woke up or been coughing like crazy around 3:00 or 3:30. I get up and get medicine or drinks and can't seem to go back to sleep. Needless to say, I'm dragging today!

He's Growing Up!

Blaine's year in K5 is coming to a close. He only has 7 1/2 days left after today. It's hard to believe that my "little boy" has already completed 2 years of kindergarten and is almost a 1st grader! I am already nervous about next year. They have learned SO much this year, but next year is going to be a HUGE adjustment. We have had to read many books this year, but it's nothing like the TONS that we will be reading next year and the next. I dread it already!

I wanted to show you a few of the things Blaine has been doing lately. Jean Jean wanted me to make copies of some of his work so she could show Mimi. So, while I had it with me I decided to scan a few things for you to see.

He is doing really well with his cursive writing. They have been writing in cursive pretty much the whole year. They learned cursive the last semester of K4. He has learned to spell his last name and write it in cursive this year.
They have also learned addition and started on subtraction. This is a speed drill. He did miss one but I thought it was pretty good for a speed drill! He must have been in a hurry because he made a couple of his 5's backwards!
They have learned to tell time, count money, count by 5's and 10's, and sentence completion. (this is just a few of the things) I know of a couple of poems he's learned also.

I think that Blaine is about burned out. He's home today with Neal. I think he's got what Judd had over the weekend. He's running fever and has a really bad cough. He wasn't able to play the whole game last night. After about half of it, he came off the field crying. I knew he didn't feel well before the game started, but he had all the could take. Poor thing. He's had a bad week. He's had trouble hitting. He's had to hit off the tee, and he hasn't had to do that since season before last. I think he's just really tired and ready for a break....aren't we all!!

Tacky Prom Bunko

Last night we had a Tacky Prom at Bunko! It was SO FUN! Everybody was dressed so different. Some actually looked pretty!
Shelly, Jennifer, and me

Amanda..She was decked out! She had her husbands class ring around her neck, a black tooth, a cigar, and a "beer" can in a paper bag(see the group pic above). Too funny!!

Ashley and Shelly...loved their dresses!

April...crazy, crazy!

Robin and Jennifer...Robin has on a bridesmaids dress from her parents wedding! LOL!

April and Lacey
It was a great night. Shanna had some delicious food and her house is beautiful since they remodeled it! I even won a prize!

Our New Toy

A few weeks ago we got a dune buggy. It needed some work done to it, so we just started going for rides last week. The boys LOVE it!

Sunday afternoon after the ordination service we went for a long ride. By the time we got home, we were all freezing! I took coats and pants for the boys, but it didn't help much.

Neal still has some things to do to it. We've bought neon lights to on on the bars. Jamey installed part of them for us earlier this week. Now it's going to be impossible to get house work done because when we don't have something going on, we will probaby be buggy riding!

Crawfish Boil

Last Friday night we had a HUGE crawfish boil. It was delicious! I had been craving some good ole crawfish lately! Of course, we had all the fixin's to go with it.
As usual, the kids had fun playing in the crawfish before they were cooked! I'm sure some of them were dead before they went into the water!

My boys were so tired when we left. They both fell asleep on the way home!

Blaine's First Ball Game

BTW: This is my 200th post!!!!!

Last Saturday was opening tournament day for baseball. Our game was at 2:00, and it was way hotter than our players are used to!

Our team name is Barney and Mott's

Neal and Jake are coaching this year.

This was Blaine's 1st bat of the game. With this swing, he hit it to the fence!!

This was the smile on his face when he got to 1st base!

Neal and Blaine on 3rd base

Playing on 1st base

Judd thinks he is just as big as the players. He would love to be on the field playing with them. Thank goodness for grandparents to keep him occupied!

Neal's Ordination

Neal and two others were ordained as deacons in our church yesterday.

Sitting in front of the church before prayer

Bro. Tim presented them with handbooks.

and certificates

Chris McDill, Neal, and Larry Perkins

After the ordination, the ladies of the church hosted a reception for everyone. It was really nice!

Neal, DJ, and Big Mac

Judd went to sleep during the ordination and we passed him around while everyone took turns eating.

After a while, Judd woke up and was ready for some grapes. There is no telling how many grapes he ate yesterday!

Our family. It was impossible to get a good picture of our family. Blaine was mad because he had to come inside for a picture!
