Happy Birthday Neal!

I want to wish my wonderful husband and my boy's great daddy a Happy 31st Birthday. It's the 28th (tomorrow). In these pictures he is doing the things he loves the most: being with his boys, and tubin' while on a camping adventure! We are getting together tonight with friends for a crawfish boil (another thing he loves) to begin the weekend. Who knows what's going on tomorrow. We'll let the birthday boy decide! I hope you have a very special day, Neal!

We took the boys to the peditrician this week. Judd weighs 24 lbs 12 oz and Blaine weighs 44 lbs. Both had ear infections, so we got omnicef to take. I think Judd keeps an ear infection. We'll probably be getting tubes before long. Well, that's about all the news I have for now!

Scarbrough Family

I thought some of you might want to see a picture of the Scarbroughs that died on the trail ride. This picture is from the program at the funeral. I did not know this family; however, I feel like I did. For some reason there has just felt like there was a connection. I'm not sure if it's because we had ridden all weekend together, if it's because Neal and I are close in age to them and have boys that are about the same ages, or if it's just because. I sure know that they all have a place in my heart. There's not a day that goes by that I don't think about Matthew and Brandy and the kids. I have gotten to know Wendy, Brandy's sister, over the past couple of weeks. If Brandy was anything like her, she was great! As some of you know we are planning a Memorial Trail Ride in honor of Matthew "Dobber" and Brandy. Wendy has been a huge help. She is really a go-getter! She has been in contact with Faith Hill and got her to donate an autographed guitar for the auction! Santa Fe is also going to play. We are giving all the proceeds to the sweet little children! I am attaching a copy of the postcards that we mailed out. If anyone would like a flyer, please let me know, and I can email you one.

The auction is going to be HUGE! We are going to have so much stuff-boots, a homemade quilt, feed, wagon wheel light fixture, guns, a saddle, an autographed picture of Eli Manning-just to name a few! We are also going to be selling grilled chicken plates (chicken leg quarter, baked beans, potato salad, bread, and drink)

Life With the Boys

Judd loves bathtime. Every night we have to line all of his toys up on the bathtub. Next, he enjoys knocking each of them back off and then we have to start the whole thing over. He is so funny. Blaine usually doesn't take a bath with him because he had rather take a shower, but the other night Blaine decided he would get in the tub with Judd. Judd could not stand it. He wanted out. I guess he thinks it's just not big enough for both of them.

It's hard to believe that my baby is almost 14 months old! That's right Saturday (28th) he'll be 14 months old. Time has gone by so fast. It seems like he should still be a small baby. He is developing quite a little personality and is in to everything. All of my things that survived when Blaine was this age, will probably not make it through the wrath of Judd!! However, he is so sweet. He just melts my heart. Both of my boys make me realize just how blessed we really are. There are so many sick children and children that have gone to be with the Lord. It all just breaks my heart.

Now it's Blaine's turn. He is learning so much in school. It's hard to believe that a 4 year old should be learning to read and write in cursive. He's just now got the printing down. But, he's doing well with it. His favorite thing to do lately is trail riding. Every time he goes to Grandaddy's house or even talks to Grandaddy or Uncle Jamey, he's wanting to go riding. Saturday, he begged Uncle Jamey to take him, but since it was suppose to rain, Jamey got out of it. Yesterday, Grandaddy picked him up from school and would you know, he talked him into catching Clyde and letting him "make a few rounds"(Blaine's words)! That is all he talked about last night. Saturday morning he talked Neal into catching a horse at home for him to ride for a few minutes. And of course they called me to get the camera!

Valentine's Day

I hope everyone had a very Happy Valentine's Day. I sure did. I got to spend it with my boys. Blaine, Jean Jean, and I went to watch Jenny play in the North State AA Championship game in Canton. They won the game, and Jenny (as well as the rest of the team) did a great job! They also won last night and will play Friday afternoon in Brookhaven. Unfortunately, I won't be able to go to the game, but you better believe that I'll be listening! Nana kept Judd while we went to the game. I don't think he would have liked the game very much. Valentine's night Neal treated me to one of my favorite restaurants Zacks in Newton, while Papa Z and Gran kept the boys. We had to wait over an hour and a half, but I would have to say that it was well worth it!!
The virus had been through our house. Blaine, Judd, Neal, and Jean Jean have all had it. I'm not quite sure how I've excaped it, but so far I have. Well that's all for now!
