The Fair

We got the fair kicked off Friday night! I'm pretty sure it's gonna be a HOT week! I didn't get many pictures Friday night because Jean Jean and Grandaddy took the boys riding for us. We did go to the rodeo though!

They boys had a great time watching and Blaine decided that he is no longer afraid of clowns!

Judd passed out around 11:30 and Blaine and Jean Jean were in the bed before then. I was tired, too! We went to the camper shortly after and hit the sack.

Judd was all smiles Saturday morning!

We have 2 babies this year...Kinsley and

Conner. They are from the Dallas area...we only get to see them a couple of times a year!

Saturday afternoon were the mule races and we all had to cheer for Jamey and Dawn!

He came in 2nd. He let the girl win, of course!

He made 2 little boys happy by taking them for a ride!

Judd and Mr. Phillips, who joins us each year from the Dallas area. I think this picture is so sweet!

Piper stopped by to visit.

We played games...Blaine tried to win a rabbit.

We rode rides...

Judd was very upset that he was not tall enough to ride the bumper cars. Later we watched the band US and all of the people and got to the camper around 1:00 am.

Sunday at the Fair

Sunday was HOT! Judd loves to play in the sawdust!!

How about a brownie for breakfast while waiting on lunch to be ready?

It didn't take Judd long to figure out that the coolest place was right in front of the big fan!

We spent the afternoon in the heat at the races.

Blaine wearing Grandaddy's cowboy hat. Jamey treated them to a mid-race snack!

Judd begging Grandaddy for something....don't remember what!

Time to ride!

Blaine finished the night with a big ole' blue snowcone. I turned all of our lips and teeth blue!

Judd didn't last long enough to get a bite of snowcone! He didn't slow down long enough for a nap. Thankfully, he only had one major meltdown, which was right before this picture was taken!

Before & After

Our fair cabin got a much needed face lift this summer!!

Here is the before pic...

And the after! What a difference! Isn't it the cutest thing? We hired someone to do the big painting, but Lisa gets the credit for all of the little detail. She also picked out the color scheme. She did a great job.
Aren't these lights Lisa made just precious? Love em!

What about the picnic table? Just too cute!

And the back view! We are definitely going to be fairn' in style this year!

VBS 2010

A couple of Saturdays ago we had Vacation Bible School at our church. The theme this year was High Seas Expedition.

This is our group plus a couple that are not in the picture. Can you imagine how hard it was to get a GOOD picture of this many kids? It was not happening!

These 3 little guys are a handful! Ty, Judd, and Mays

The group singing during music time.

This sweet picture of Judd is while he was working on crafts.

After the classes were over we had a space jump, a big slide, a slip-n-slide, and a snow cone machine to keep the kids occupied until time to go home.

All the activities were enjoyed, but I think the slip-n-slide and the snow cone machine were the favorites!

Blaine and Hunter going down the slide together. We had a very good, but hot day!

Surprise, Surprise, Surprise!!!

Last Friday night, we, along with about 40 other friends and family, surprised Nana with a 50th birthday supper. I think she was surprised! We had it a couple of weeks after her birthday because we had to find a weekend that Dwight was off and Uncle Jim could be here.

Uncle Jim and Aunt Diana drove all the way from Omaha, NE to be here for the party. They had planned to come in Thursday and spend the night with us, but got scared they would get caught! So, they visited some Friday and met us at the party.

Aunt Frank, Greg, Aunt Myrt, and Aunt Ray...all waiting for the party to begin

While waiting for our food, we watched a Photo Story that I made. It consisted of around 300 pictures and was 24 minutes long.

I think a good time was had by all!!
We have been extremely busy. Between working on the photo story and everything else going on, I have not had time to blog. Hopefully, I will get caught up this week before fair post start! It's hard to believe that the summer is almost over!
