Christmas Eve

We started Christmas Eve out with a big breakfast then the boys got to work on the annual gingerbread house.

We didn't get finished...it wasn't wanting to stay together very well!

So, we decided to just eat it! That's the best part anyway!!
Later, we headed to Jean Jean and Grandaddy's for our Christmas with them. Jean Jean cooked some delicious shrimp!!
Jamey got each of the boys a pair of boots. They both loved them!

They each got remote control jeeps to play with!

Jamey got Neal and me bikes! I can't wait until the weather is pretty enough to ride them!!
Neal's is red and mine is the pretty blue one!
After a fun time and way too many gifts, we hurried home to get in the bed so Santa could come!

Church Christmas Program

Our play started out will the children "caroling."

Then they each changed into their costumes. Blaine was a king.

We 3 kings....

The whole crew. The kids really had fun participating in the program this year. As you can see Judd was not in the play. He was just too shy!

Christmas Fun

Each year I get the boys an ornament from Hallmark to hang on the tree.

Blaine's was a Santa holding a list of names.
Judd got a wobbly reindeer.

Judd was excited about hanging his on the tree, but Blaine could have cared less!!

Blaine's class Christmas party was on their last day before Christmas break and I couldn't miss it! They got all kinds of candy and little happies!
Each child brought a gift and they all drew numbers to see what gift they would get. Blaine got a Bingo set. (I have had those little yellow balls all over my house)

They all had a fun time together!! It's hard to believe that it's now almost time to go back to school!

Trip to see Santa Clause

It has become our tradition to take to boys to Bass Pro Shop to see Santa each year. They did things different this year. There is usually a long, long line, so this year they gave out appointments instead. This worked well. We got our appointment time and did some other shopping and came back to our appointment. This time the line was really short!

Judd was really excited about seeing Santa. Last year he cried!

When it was our turn, Judd was a little unsure!
Santa gave him a candy cane and talked him into just standing in front. Afterwards, he was so excited about getting to see Santa!

Happy 3rd Birthday, Judd!!

Today is Judd's 3rd Birthday!! He has been so excited about it, since he is old enough to know what a birthday is all about!! Last night we were telling him that he would be 3 years old when we got up this morning and he started singing "Happy birthday to me"!!

He is at such a fun age! He is so sweet, but he can flip instantly! There is no telling how many times a day he tells me he loves me..he knows how to win his mother's heart!!

He has changed SO much since last year!! We are going to have a little party tonight and then a bigger party later. We love you so much Judd! You make our family and life interesting! Happy Birthday! I hope you have a fun day!!

Christmas on the River

The first weekend in December, a group of us went to Christmas on the River in Demopolis, AL. During the day they have a flea market and parade. We got there mid-morning and did some shopping at the flea market and then got a good place to watch the parade.

Blaine, Seth, and Hannah waiting for the parade

The boys did not want to get their picture made!

watching the parade

Country music singer Ashton Shepard was the Grand Marshall.

They had some really neat floats

the carousel

After the parade we all ate mexican and got checked in the hotel. We had a party to celebrate a sweet little girl's birthday! Reagan turned 4 that day!

That afternoon we found our way to the banks of the Tombigbee River for Christmas on the River.

The kids all got swords that glowed in the dark, which kept them occupied until the parade started.

There were some really pretty floats....

an angel

a house and tree

This was a dragon made by putting several boat together. Flames came out of the dragon's mouth and his tail moved. It was really neat!

After the parade, we ate supper and went to bed. We were all so tired! Sunday morning we got up and ate breakfast at Cracker Barrell in Meridian and headed home. It was a fun trip!
