Labor Day Weekend Part 1

We spent our Labor Day weekend at Yogi on the Lake with friends. We were a group of 16 people in 4 campers. The weather was just perfect, and we couldn't have had a better time!!

Friday night we got settled in and all went out to eat. It was much easier to do that than cook since we were kinda late getting there. Yogi has wi-fi, so we all drug out the laptops and cell phones!

The kids played with playdough...not sure what they were making!!

Judd loves listening to music on Neal's mp3 player. He dances to the tunes!

We had a nice little set-up with three tents and picnic tables. There was a breeze blowing most all of the time, too!
Saturday morning everyone was up early ready to have fun.

Becky and Reagan riding in the back of the truck. We all piled up in the back of the truck to go up to the front gate where all of the activities are.

The kids got to meet Yogi and BooBoo

My boys didn't want to meet them, but the rest of the kids did!

They did agree to get their picture made in front of the Yogi statue.

The water park

Saturday morning the water was very cool! The kids didn't care, they just wanted to play!! The water did warm up later in the day!

Judd was all about the water...he had a blast! The place is perfect for his age because you don't have to stay with them all the time. You can just let them go!!

Partners in crime...Judd and Reagan

Neal and Big Mac

Blaine, Seth, and Hannah sitting under the mushroom

Sweet Brennon

Everyone had fun on this slide!

Jewett slid down with Judd

Later Saturday, some of the kids went to the activity center for crafts while the others took naps. They have various activities going on all the time there.

Blaine painted a football helmet

Saturday was also Becky's birthday! We surprised her with a birthday cake after supper. We also had strawberry and butterfinger homemade ice cream.

After supper the girls hit up karaoke. Alisha and Hanna sang "Boondocks"

The men watched the LSU game while the others went to...

the movie at the outdoor theater.

We had jackets and covered up with blankets!!! It is hard to believe since it has been so hot during the day! Saturday was a very fun day!!

10 Years

Today is our 10th anniversary!! My how time flies. On one hand it seems like our wedding was just yesterday, and then again it seems like it has been forever ago. Ten years has brought many changes. There have been many ups as well as downs. Although, the ups have out weighed the downs!

Here is the most recent picture of the two of us that I have....at the end of a week at the fair!

Back in the Spring, we went on our 2nd honeymoon. We went on our 1st cruise to Cozumel and Progresso. I am so glad that we went in the Spring when things were slow because there is no way we would have time to go now!

Neal started a new job the first of August. He has been away from home alot in training, but he has a GREAT opportunity. I am so proud of him as he has started this chapter of life!

Neal, I love you more now that I did on our wedding day!! It has been a GREAT ten years and I can't wait to see what the next 10 have in store for us!! I love you!!

Weekend Parties

The rest of our weekend was filled with birthday parties. We went to a 1st birthday party Saturday afternoon, a skating party Sunday after church, and Grandaddy's party right after that. Sunday was a busy day!

Granny had Grandaddy a birthday party at her house for all of the family. Lisa made a delicious coconut cake, Jean Jean made homemade butterfinger ice cream, and we had a birthday cake. Four cakes in two days is too much! By Sunday night the boys had a sugar high from all of the cake, ice cream, and mt. dew!!

Although it wasn't Neal's birthday, he got a nice surprise! My Granny is a quilter. There's no telling how many 100's of quilts she has made or had a hand in making. She has given all the children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren quilts that she has made. (One day I'm going to do a post on all the one's she has made for me.) Well, there's some kind of tradition (not sure where it came from) that you get a quilt when you turn 21 years old. Five of six grandchildren have turned 21. She had 8 or 9 quilts for us to pick from. (We didn't get to pick from her entire collection!) When I picked mine out SEVERAL years ago, there was this purple quilt that Neal fell in love with. He begged me to pick it, but I just didn't think I would ever have anywhere to use the colors! Granny let Jenny go ahead and pick her quilt recently. When we went to Granny's house for the birthday party, she called Neal to the back part of the house and got out that purple quilt and told him it was his! He was thrilled....he said that it just made his day! It is a beautiful quilt! It's going to be perfect hanging on the wall in his office!!! I had one of mine hanging in there, but we will replace it with this one. We didn't get to bring it home because she's got to sew a hanger on the back so we can hang it. Neal can't wait to get it home!

Mexican and Bowling

We started the weekend off Friday night by meeting some friends for Mexican and bowling. It's always fun to get-together with good friends!!

Kellie and Hannah helped Judd bowl.

Blaine had such a good time!!!

Reagan's turn!

Blaine hit several strikes before the night was over!!

Waiting for the ball to come back

Neal helping Judd bowl...Judd had rather kick the ball than throw it!

uh-oh....gutter ball!!!! Judd did get a strike before the night was over!!!! He kicked it down there and luckily knocked all of the pins down!! He was so excited!!

My Blaine looks so grown up with his cap on!!

Judd and Reagan took turns pouting when they didn't get something they wanted! Judd is so funny. He won't say "Reagan" he calls her "my girlfriend".....so sweet!!
We had a great night with great company!!!
