Neal and two others were ordained as deacons in our church yesterday.

After the ordination, the ladies of the church hosted a reception for everyone. It was really nice!

Judd went to sleep during the ordination and we passed him around while everyone took turns eating.

After a while, Judd woke up and was ready for some grapes. There is no telling how many grapes he ate yesterday!

Our family. It was impossible to get a good picture of our family. Blaine was mad because he had to come inside for a picture!

Musings of Judd

Judd has done some funny and sweet things lately that I wanted to write down before I forget them.
Every afternoon Neal or I or sometimes both ask Blaine what color he got that day. Neal picked them up one day last week and asked Blaine what color he got. (He has only gotton yellow which is a warning one day this semester and twice last semester!!!) Blaine was in a bad mood and didn't answer at first, so Judd answered for him "green". Neal said it was the cutest thing! Now, every day we ask Judd what color he got, too!

When we get in the bed at night, we always say our night night prayer. Sometimes I say it and sometimes Blaine says it. It just depends what kind of mood Blaine is in. Well, a couple of weeks ago, one of the puppies that had been born was sick. Blaine had been "taking care" of it. When we would say our prayers, he would always tell me to pray for his puppy. The puppy died and it had been a few nights since we prayed for it. I said the prayer that night and when I got finished Judd said, " pray Blaine's dog." He has a good little memory and that shows that a 2 year old does pay attention to things, even prayers!

Judd can be so silly. For some reason he starts calling me "maw maw". He says it and just laughs so hard. He knows it's a joke and he does it just to be funny!
Last Sunday afternoon, Jean Jean came and got the boys to ride mules. We got them back on the way to church later that afternoon. He was eating some M&M's and knodded off to sleep. He was so funny. He would eat one and dose off again. Finally, he was out of it and spilled his M&Ms everywhere!

A Tough One!

This week has been a tough one. It started out with Sunday being really busy since it was Easter. Monday afternoon, Blaine had ball practice. We have one more practice and games start next Saturday. I took a couple of pictures with my phone.

After practice, Neal and Blaine went to a meeting. Judd and I went home and ate supper and I tried to clean up some. Judd was so tired. It was hard to get much done. I tried to work out while he played but with about seven minutes left, he was crying for me to hold him, so I gave in. Neal brought Blaine home and left again. Blaine spent the rest of the night reading his book to me. Tuesday night Neal had a meeting at church and I had to come home and cook supper and cook for Wednesday night supper at church. We each take turns preparing the Wednesday night meal and this was my week. My momma and daddy are out of town this week vacationing, and Jamey is home this week. He is working in Chicago these days. Since it is so far away, they are working 8 days on and 6 days off. So, Jamey has been eating with us this week. I had bought most of my groceries for the church meal on Tuesday. Well, right before I got home, I realized that I forgot my cold stuff at work. I had to figure out something else to cook for supper that night and try to fix what I need to for Wednesday night. The boys were so tired and ill. And, of course, Blaine had more reading to do. I was stressed by the time I went to bed! Wednesday I left work early to finish up my meal and got it to the church just in time. Neal and Lance took some of the youth boys to Jackson to see a friend they go to school with that had a UTV accident last week. After church the boys and I went home to get baths and go to bed. I was exhausted! We forgot Blaine's backpack in Neal's truck, so no reading. Thursday night I came in and started cooking and trying to get my kitchen back in order. Jamey came to eat and was so sweet to help Blaine read!
Blaine brought two more books home from school on top of the ones we still had from Wednesday. It was a night full of reading. I did manage to workout, though. Judd was so tired that he had already passed out when I got home yesterday afternoon. Neal assured me that he was the illest that he had been all week. When I went to get him off the couch to take him to bed, this is how I found him.

Poor baby! He was in a great mood this morning, though!

I am ready for a nice quite weekend..it's been a tough week!

RA Camping Trip

Neal and Lance took the RA boys and youth boys camping last Thursday night since there was no school on Friday. It was beautiful weather for camping, although they actually slept in the campers. Neal took ours and Lance took one.

Judd and I went to help them get supper ready and cleaned up. Judd went up and down this slide many times. I was scared to death he was going to fall, but he didn't!
Blaine really enjoyed playing with all of the other boys. He is the youngest one in RA's, but he thinks he is just as old as the rest of them. I don't know all of the fun things they did, but I did hear something about playing hide and go seek in the dark with flashlights. And the also stayed up really late. Friday they fished and walked down trails.

Judd LOVED the slide!

Feeding the ducks. At first Judd was scared of them, but later decided that they weren't so bad. I'm sure the ducks were ready to see everyone leave. I think they were chased for two days!!

Hunter was brave enough to hold one.

I know one thing... these boys can eat! Brooke and I bought all of the groceries. I thought they would have more than enough food. Boy, was I wrong! We bought 5 or 6 12 packs of drinks and they gone by Friday morning.

Part of the group around the campfire. I think there was about 20 of them in all.
Lance's family, our family and a couple of the youth boys ended up camping Friday night as well. Some more couples in our Sunday school class came with their kids and we grilled steaks. We all sat out on the deck and talked and listened to Garrett pick the guitar. The kids all ran wild and enjoyed playing together. Fun Times! We are going to have to do that more often!

The Easter Bunny

The Easter came to see the boys. I had threatened to call the Easter bunny and tell him not to come this year.

Blaine's goodies

Judd's goodies

Judd went for the ball first! The child LOVES balls!!

Blaine went for the slip-n-slide.

What all is in there?

It's hard to tell in the picture, but Blaine got the new Alvin and the Chipmunks DVD.

Judd loved his t-ball and t-ball glove!

We didn't get to spend much time playing...we had to get ready to go to church. We had breakfast an hour early, and Neal was already gone to help cook.
