The Beach-Day 4

Today, Blaine wanted to stop at the pool before going to the beach. The pool is much less crowded this time of morning. After playing for a while, we went to the beach.

Judd was a big help..taking the float for us!

After spending most of the day at the beach, we went for a quick swim in the pool and up for a quick nap. We decided to go to The Crab Trap to eat where we got these...

Crab Claws. Absolutely the BEST thing I ate on vacation!

I think Blaine and Judd enjoyed it too! Jamey decided to join us for a couple of days. We were so glad to see him! He is so much fun to be around...he has a good time where ever he is!! While we were waiting on him we had a photo shoot. It didn't turn out quite as good as I would have liked. It is extremely hard (with a 5 year old and 18 month old) to get a good picture. I was also using the tripod for part of them. When I get them edited, I'll post more about them.

As soon as Jamey got there we were off to ride go carts. Blaine was ready to race him! I think there's still a debate on who "won"!

We even let Blaine ride the mini go carts. I think he was a little scared to push the gas very hard!

Neal and Jamey rode in this enclosed capsule thing on some kind of combat mission. I think Neal almost got sick before it was over! After playing games until almost midnight, we called it a night and headed back to the condo.

The Beach-Day 3

Day 3 was pretty much the same as Day 2. We got up early and couldn't wait to get to the beach! The boys made more sand castles and played in the ocean. Judd fell alseep in my arms on the beach, so we went on to the condo while Blaine and Neal swam for a little while. Judd napped for right at 4 hours. I guess the sun drained him.

After all getting a nap we went to Foley. We decided to eat at Lambert's if the wait wasn't too long. They told us that there was an appx 45 minute wait time. While waiting I ran in a couple of stores shopping. I think the wait ended up being around an hour and a half. Judd was so bored! We had to hold him the whole time because if we put him down, he would take off running. There were so many people waiting, that it wouldn't take long for him to be lost! The meal was wonderful! We all left stuffed and carrying 2 take home boxes. Blaine loved trying to catch the rolls. He dropped the 1st one they threw him!
While in Foley a thunderstorm came through the area. We didn't let our tent down before we left, so it was slightly wind damaged. We managed to use it the rest of the week..we just couldn't let it all of the way up. Did I mention that this tent was a life saver? It was so much cooler to sit under it, rather than in the full sun.

Blaine and Judd loved pushing the numbers on the elevator. A couple of days into it, Blaine learned that we stayed on floor 13 and we went down to G. It got to where we didn't even have to tell him which on to push.

The Beach-Day 2

Wednesday morning we got up bright and early and headed to the beach. The boys were so excited to be there! To begin with Judd loved the pool, loved the sand, but hated the ocean! Every time we would go towards the water, he would start fussing and start backing up. He would still fuss with us holding him. By Day 3, he was coming to me and saying "moan Moma." He was wanting to go to the water! Blaine loved all of it! We built many sand castles, looked for sea shells, and rode the waves.

After several hours on the beach, we cooled off in the pool. It was also a good way to get all of the sand off of us!

Each afternoon after the beach and pool, we would go to the condo for a late lunch and a nap. I knew the the boys had to have their naps in order to survive all of the fun!

We're ready to go eat! We went to Live Bait and it was so good! Several people had recommended it to us and there was no wait! There was an adventure park right across from our condo and Blaine had been begging to go ride go carts. He was hoping to be able to drive one, but wasn't quite tall enough. He was so happy because they won the race!Neal and Blaine decide to ride the bumber boats. Neither of them knew that they would be able to spray each other. They were both soaking wet when they got off. Neal was not happy about it! If he had known that, I bet he wouldn't have ridden them! Our 13th story view from our front door. Isn't it BEAUTIFUL! We could see for miles! Our balcony view at sunset. Our balcony. After another trip to the pool, we ended the night with a trip to Wal-Mart and Dippin' Dots.

The Beach-Day 1

Last Tuedsay afternoon we headed south. The boys were really good. Judd slept most of the way and Blaine played his Nintendo DS and Leap Frog. We passed by 3 or 4 wrecks and 1 shopping center fire. So, it was an eventful ride! We got to Foley around 6:00 and decided to eat there hoping that it wouldn't be as crowded. First we went by Lamberts (home of the throwed rolls) but it was packed as usual. We decided to try Mellow Mushroom. We've never eaten there, but I had heard that it is good. We loved it! Their pizza is great and will fill you up. Ours was loaded with everything you can think of. Next, we went to the condo.

By the time we got everything unloaded, the boys were begging to go to the beach. We took our tent and set it up because there were tents everywhere and we were afraid that there wouldn't be any room the next morning.

Judd didn't know what to think about the sand to begin with. But, soon learned that it was fun to play in.

Neal and Blaine decided that it was going to be a fun week! Our next stop was the pool.

The Beach!

We had a wonderful time on our vacation! The family time we spent together was priceless! Although the weather was hot, there was always a breeze blowing, so it didn't feel as hot. We spent many hours sitting on the beach and playing in the sand. The boys loved it! We also spent alot of time at the pool. We were suprised at how cool the ocean water and pool water were. You would think the water would be warmer with it being 100 degrees! We ate some really good seafood. We figured out that there wouldn't be a wait if we went early, so we ate supper each night around 5:30. The only place we had to wait was Lambert's. I think there is always a wait there! I was so worth it though!

I have so many pictures to edit and post. I think I took close to 800 pictures. I think that I'm going to post them by each day. Here are just a few to get started with!

18 Months Old

It's so hard to believe that Judd is already eighteen months old! Time had just flown by. He is quite the little character! He has his own little personality that is SO much different than Blaine's. There is never a dull moment unless he's asleep! He is very strong willed and determined, but yet a little on the shy side. How is it possible for him to be so bad and so sweet at the same time?

He has 16 teeth.
He loves suckers and M & M's and sweet tea!
He loves his Bubba.
He loves to pile all of his toys in a big pile and then knock them over.
He loves to go outside.
He loves to take a bath.
He knows how to throw a fit!
He has learned how to make me understand what he wants/needs.
He understands the things I tell him to do and does them.
He knows how to throw things in the garbage.

And thanks to Grandaddy, we learned over the weekend...

that he LOVES Push-ups!

Also, over the weekend he found this paci in his room and decided that he likes it! Notice how it's upside down in his mouth!! He had never really cared for one, so I hope he is not starting something! As soon as I figure out where he's hidden it, it's going in the garbage!
